Our Why

Growing up in one of the most impoverished and dangerous areas in the world, young Africans have little hope. Leather + Iron is developing the children of today into the leaders of tomorrow. We are doing this by teaching leadership and ethics through basketball and community development. We leverage the values of teamwork found in sports and community projects to not only help them advance, but also teach children how to lead others to a brighter future.
